Advocacy 101:How to Move your Cause from Idea to Action

This training will provide practical guidance on how you can turn your social work principles into advocacy activities that make a difference. The workshop will review what the social work code of ethics has to say about advocacy. We will discuss several strategies for becoming civically engaged and for providing leadership around advocacy and policy from a social work perspective. Participants will leave with a toolkit to empower them in being change-advocates in their community.
