WORKSHOP SUMMARY

Erin Solomon, LCSW

Erin will review various perinatal mood disorders with a focus on postpartum depression. She will discuss symptoms, risk factors, and barriers to treatment using clinical examples in her own practice as well as recent research. She will additionally outline best practices for assessment and treatment of postpartum depression

Erin Salomon, LCSW, received her MSW from New York University and her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas. Before starting her own practice in 2017, Erin provided treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and families at the University of Kentucky's Department of Psychiatry. During her time in New York she counseled children who witnessed domestic violence at STEPS to End Family Violence and served as a case manager at Harlem United, connecting adults living with HIV/AIDS to mental health and medical care in their communities. Erin has training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Functional Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and is a member of KSCSW and NASW.
