The presentation will contain a brief overview of our complicated immigration system. We will explore common forms of immigration relief and gain a basic understanding of the current state of immigration in the United States. We will also briefly discuss referral options for various immigration challenges.

Sarah Ellen Eads Adkins J.D. is from Somerset, Kentucky. After graduating from Campbellsville University, she served in AmeriCorps at Bethany House Abuse Shelter in Somerset, KY. She decided to attend law school to serve underrepresented populations and attended Harvard Law School. Since graduating, she has worked at Maxwell Street Legal Clinic, a legal immigration nonprofit; completed a federal clerkship; and is now an Assistant Attorney General under Andy Beshear. She is a founding board member of Neighbors Immigration Clinic, Lexington's newest immigration legal clinic.
