Treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Children with Tamera Fenton, LPCC

Description

Tamera Fenton is a licensed professional clinical counselor, national certified counselor and registered play therapist. She received her doctorate in counselor education and supervision and her master's degree in human services and counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. She teaches counseling courses as an adjunct professor at Lindsey Wilson College. She has experience working with clients in private practice, comprehensive care centers, school systems, and therapeutic foster care. Here training includes play therapy and parent-child relationship training. She has experience working with children and adolescents and their families with a variety of treatment concerns. She has three amazing daughters and enjoys nature, painting, dancing, and reading.

Participants learn to identify nuances of OCD presentation with children. Participants will learn some creative approaches to use within the course of treatment of OCD in children and approaches to coach parents with assisting their child.
