Ryan G. Wetzler, Psy.D

Ryan G. Wetzler, Psy.D, C.BSM, ABPP is a licensed psychologist who has been treating sleep disorders, with particular expertise in insomnia since 2002.   He developed Louisville’s only comprehensive cognitive-behavioral treatment program for insomnia in 2004.  The outcomes of his treatment program were highlighted at the annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies meeting in 2009.  Such treatment programs are now recognized by the American College of Physicians, the National Institutes of Health, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as the first-line treatment approach for chronic insomnia.  He has been certified in the practice of Behavioral Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine since 2005.  In 2011 he became board certified in Clinical Health Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology.  Dr. Wetzler is active in several professional organizations with previous roles including President of the Kentucky Sleep Society, President of the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, Chair of the Insomnia section of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and Chair of the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Course.  He is currently a board member of the Kentucky Sleep Society.  He maintains a full-time clinical practice specializing in non-drug treatment approaches for sleep disorders and stress-related health conditions.


Erica Adams, Ph.D, Chronic Pain Specialist
Bluegrass Health Psychology 
Lexington, KY

Dr. Adams is a licensed psychologist with Bluegrass Health Psychology in Lexington, KY. She is a Kentucky native and received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky, her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University, and her Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from the University of Louisville. She completed an internship in clinical and health psychology at the Dayton VA Medical Center and a post-doctoral fellowship in pain at the Tampa VA Medical Center. In her current work, she sees patients with a wide range of medical conditions but specializes in the treatment of those with chronic pain and gastrointestinal disorders. She is board-certified in Clinical Health Psychology and trained in the application of clinical hypnosis.
